José Miguel Sagüillo
José Miguel Sagüillo is Catedrático and Professor of Logic at the University of Santiago de Compostela. As a Fulbright Scholar, he studied at the University of Buffalo with John Corcoran, John Kearns, Nicolas Goodman, John Myhill, Richard Vesley, and others. His MA is from Buffalo. His PhD is from the University of Santiago de Compostela but his PhD supervisor was Prof. Rafael Beneyto, Catedrático and Professor of Logic at the University of Valencia. His PhD committee was composed of five professors from different Spanish universities.
He is co-author with the Oxford philosopher of science Rom Harré of the 2001 book ''El movimiento antimetafísico del siglo XX'', (Madrid: Ediciones Akal). He is sole author of the 2008 monograph ''El Pensamiento Lógico-Matemático'',(Madrid: Ediciones Akal).
As Professor, he was a Visiting Scholar in the Logic Group at the University of Buffalo and in the Logic and Methodology Group at the University of California at Berkeley.

He is the winner of the first Ivor Grattan-Guinness Best Paper Award for History and Philosophy of Logic. The award winning paper is ‘Methodological Practice and Complementary Concepts of Logical Consequence: Tarski’s Model-Theoretic Consequence and Corcoran’s Information-Theoretic Consequence’, published in the journal ''History and Philosophy of Logic'' in the first issue of 2009, pp. 21–48. Candidates are authors of contributions published in ''History and Philosophy of Logic'' in the past year.
